Tramp Intentions – August 29, 2015 and the weekend

Anniversary Dinner – October 8th.
The Anniversary Dinner venue has been finalised. The Bluewater Hotel Restaurant (upstairs and overlooking the sea). The dinner will be a buffet and cost $40 pp. More info. on this as we get closer to the date. Partners and guests are welcome.

Challenge Cup
The cup is a contest between Heretaunga Tramping Club and Napier Tramping Club. We are current holders of the cup, winning it at a sports event held in Anderson Park, Napier. The Heretaunga TC have agreed to a ten pin bolwing challange in either September or October 2015. We will let you know when this is taking place so that you can come support the NTC and keep the cup. We should think of a better name for his cup. Perhaps the Owen Rees Cup? He made the trophy from local wood.

Joint Tramping Club Tramp
Also in order to foster closer relations with the HTC, we have proposed a joint tramp. The date set for this is Januarhy 31, 2016. A tramp destination has yet to be agreed. Should be a fun, and a good chance to get to know our fellow regional trampers.

Tramp Intentions – Saturday Aug 29
Trampers ata at 8:11pm Thursday 27 Aug. Graeme Taylor, Rosemary Jeffery, Jude Paton, Bruce Hodgson (car)

Trampers for 29/30th Weekend tramp: Alison, Paul, Ted, Sue M, Rachael, Simon, Julia (Simon and Alison vehicles)

About us

We are a group of like-minded people who love the great outdoors. We tramp mostly in the Hawke’s Bay province, in remote areas such as the Kaweka and Ruahine Ranges; but we also travel longer distances to new places, for longer walks.

The Napier Tramping Club was established in 1974 and has about 70 members. We belong to the Federated Mountain Clubs of NZ Inc (FMC) and run Saturday, full-weekend and Wednesday tramps, every fortnight.

Enjoy the great outdoors, keep fit and get to know others with similar interests.
