Mohi Bush Working Bees – DoC
DoC Permit
We entered the ballot for Big Hill Station and were awarded the week from 1st to 7th January 2016. Please let us know if you wish to go on a tramp in this area. We are unable to swap this date as it is not permissible (DoC Palmerston North and Big Hill Station regulations).
Heretaunga Tramping Club
We lost the challenge this year. HTC are now the holders of the Pureora Log. We played HTC two games of tenpin bowling at Superstrike, Hastings on Friday November 13. The date must have put NTC club members off, or perhaps they are just not into tenpin bowling. Only six NTC club members entered the challenge, Brian M, Kelvin S, John D, Murray W, Simon H and Julia M. We played against eleven members of the HTC, and agreed that the top six HTC score and the NTC score average would be the winner. So we were handicapped with only six players from the start.

They are visiting Hawke’s Bay between 9-15 November. They will be staying at Westshore and have suggested that we join them for some day tramps. They will be invited to join us on the Wednesday 11 November tramp into Central Whirinaki Hut and possibly the ten-pin bowling event on 13 November. John Dobbs is coordinating this visit.
