The committee have decided that with immediate effect, the Wednesday tramp meeting point should be the Shrimpton Field carpark in Park Island (same as the Saturday day tramp meeting point). The start time will remain the same i.e. 7.30am on Wednesday.

Kashmir Road, Ruahine FP. Road works.
As you are aware, Kashmir Road into the Ruahine Forest Park (Central Hawkes Bay) has been significantly damaged by storm events over the last year. DOC will be upgrading the road within the Ruahine Forest Park to ensure that it is once again usable by 2WD cars in all weather conditions. The work will be carried out by local roading contractors and is expected to take around two weeks to complete, with an expected start date of 1st Oct. The road will remain open to the public during this time, but visitors can expect delays. Warning signs will be in placed along the road when contractors are on site. Visitors must adhere to all warning signage and directions of contractors to ensure safety.
